  • MMF Essentials of Music Management
    The Essentials of Music Management course is a one-day course covering the basics of music management. Taught by artist manager and business consultant Erik Nielsen this course is a great opportunity for those just starting out as well as those who want a refresher to hear all the latest developments in the music industry.We will cover headline topics in most aspects of music industry, to help lay the best foundations for your career – looking at rights, PRS & PPL, releasing an album, marketing, and social media. In the afternoon we are also joined by top industry lawyers, accountants and a music insurance broker.
  • MMF Live & Touring (Level 1)
    Live & Touring is a one-day course run by the Music Managers Forum. Presented by Erik Nielsen and a tour manager, the course will cover subjects such as how to get gigs, direct-to-fan ticketing, booking agents and promoters, how to budget and – perhaps! – make a profit, and international touring. Erik will also be discussing merchandise – what to produce, how to make it, and how to sell it.The afternoon part of the course will include a presentation from the tour manager, giving attendees an insight into “A Day in the Life” of a tour. From who does what, to looking after yourself – physically and mentally – whilst on tour, delving into what it’s really like to be on the road, how to keep the band happy, and the importance of planning and accounting.
    The day will be finished off with a Q&A session.
