Professional Development Programme

the hub was founded in 2002 by a team of socially minded, entrepreneurial, music producers, marketers and fundraisers united by a desire to produce innovative work and build the capacity of the independent music sector we’d grown up in. Since then, we’ve gained a reputation as a leading development force in the creative sector. Our clients and partners range from some of the biggest names in the creative sector – from Sony Playstation to the BBC – to individual artists, small arts organisations, and higher education providers.

We have a reputation for designing and delivering high quality and engaging professional development programmes that have at their core what music industry professionals want and respond to: industry-specific, practical solutions and information that can be put into practice straight away.

As well as developing partnership projects such as New Music Plus… (developed with the PRS for Music Foundation) we’ve worked with clients such as the British Council, Arts Council England and local authorities to support hundreds of artists, promoters and creative entrepreneurs. Our modus operandi is to be generous with our knowledge and engender opportunities for debate and networking, and to cater for all participants’ needs and learning styles.

We’re really chuffed to be working with this first OneFest cohort, to be playing a small part in their professional development, and can’t wait to see the fruits of their labour over the course of 2017!
