Damon Albarn has announced this morning that he will release a studio album of songs from his Dr. Dee opera, which he recorded late last year in London with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

The album is titled ‘Dr. Dee’ and is released on May 7th, comprising of 18 tracks, which Albarn has described as “strange pastoral folk”.

Damon headlines OneFest playing songs from Dr.Dee, before he takes the production to the English National Opera, London in June.
